Mommy Magic Child Safe Internet Browser Installation instructions direct from CD The install file, mommymagic_browser.exe, is located in the browser folder on the CD Right click on start: Explore (opens Windows Explorer) When Windows Explorer opens up, browse to your CD drive, Usually D: or E: Open the browser folder double click on mommymagic_browser.exe this will launch the installation program. After the program installs, it prompts you with a Parent Login. Since you don't have a Parent Login yet, click on the I don't have a username. I need to Register! button. You will need to enter the Mommy Magic Registration Code
Fill out the rest of the information. Also see the notes about the Internet Protection Module (IPM) and how to turn it on so that you can use all the special features of the - Help -Child Information Please choose a user name and password for the Parent administrator of your child's account. Please keep this password private and out of your children's reach. Passwords must be 4 to 8 characters long and may include letters and numbers (e.g., "c1tg246"). Remember, this password protects your children online, so be sure to keep this password private and out of your children's reach Please choose a user name and password for your child. Child user names must be unique within the community. Passwords must be 4 to 8 characters long and may include letters and numbers (e.g., "c1tg246"). Their password will give the child access to their web-safe e-mail account. You may add another child (up to 5 children total) anytime through the Parental Administration area of www.childrenseducationalnetwork.com.
Child Information This application allows up to five children to have their own account. Simply establish a unique account for each child and take advantage of all the safe and fun features! Create a user name for your child. This will be his/her identity in the community and also will be included in their email address(i.e., mykid@iq2u.net). The user name may include letters and/or numbers, but NO spaces please. For your child's safety, their user name should not include their first or last name. Create a password for your child that is easy for them to remember. Keep in mind, passwords are case sensitive and must be between 4 and 8 characters. - Security Level - This setting allows you to set a security level for the specified child. This one-click setting will affect the security features for all the applications in the community, i.e., email, chat, browsing, etc. After a setting is selected, you can then refine individual settings. If you chose to modify individual settings, then the security level will indicate ‘Custom’.
There are three standand security levels: High, Medium, and Low. The effect of each of these settings is explained below:
Security Level –Low This setting is recommended for teens. Your child is allowed to receive emails from approved buddies, browse non-adult oriented websites, but they are not allowed access to the chat rooms.
Browsing – Porn filter is enabled preventing access to adult-oriented websites. Access to only the child-approved list of websites is not enforced. Email – email is allowed, but child can only open emails received from approved ‘Buddy List. Access to the folder containing emails from people not in the approved ‘Buddy List’ is allowed. The child will not be able to open these emails, only view the subject line. If your child determines that one of these emails is valid and wants access, they can make a request to you to add the sender to the approved ‘Buddy List’. Chat – access to chat rooms is not allowed.
Security Level – Medium This is the standard setting for most children. Your child is allowed to receive emails from approved buddies, browse websites in CEN Approved List, but they are not allowed access to the chat rooms.
Browsing – access is only allowed to the list of child-approved websites. Email – email is allowed, but child can only open emails received from approved ‘Buddy List. Access to the folder containing emails from people not in the approved ‘Buddy List’ is not allowed. Chat – access to chat rooms is not allowed.
Security Level – High This is the most stringent security setting, with the highest level of security enforced for all community features. This is the appropriate setting for younger children or for parents who want the highest level of assurance for a child while accessing the Internet.

Email – email is allowed, but child can only open emails received from approved ‘Buddy List. Access to the folder containing emails from people not in the approved ‘Buddy List’ is not allowed.
